BMF Classes are also very social. We get people working together and foster a supportive group environment. However, be under no illusion, we will make you work to the best of your ability, and the classes will be different and challenging every time.
At the Park
When you have decided which BMF venue you'd like to attend, and filled in
the health questionnaire, your next step is to attend a FREE trial
class. You can also fill in the paperwork at the park. Most people tend to
hear about BMF through a friend or colleague and attend with them, but there
are usually plenty of other trialists or first time BMFers who turn up on
their own.
At the meeting point, you will be welcomed by a BMF instructor who will talk with you about your health questionnaire and how much fitness (if any!) you do at the moment. They will then suggest which level you should start at.
Each class is divided into ability groups and starts with a warm up. This is followed by a full 50 minutes of effective and varied fitness training (admit it, have you ever done that in the gym?!), broken up only by a water break in between. The session ends with a cool down and stretch.
You can sign up to for a different number of classes per week. You can attend any class at any venue at any time, to suit your schedule. You may even find your company gets corporate membership. For more on our pricing structure click here
Please note that you have to be at least 16 years of age to attend a BMF class. We are proud to say that our oldest member is currently 67.
Why Should I Join BMF?
Ability Groups
Every class you take, you can choose which group you join. If you are finding
your sessions too easy or hard you can change up or down a group. Most people
start off with a beginner, blue bib, class and work their way up through the
different levels. All venues run a fitness assessment once a month when you
can measure your progress. Click here
for more on fitness assessments.

Beginner
Groups (Blue Bibs)
For those people that currently do little or no exercise OR are returning
to fitness training after a break. For example, after having given birth or
returning from a medical condition. We work to the weakest member of the group.
This level bib is for anyone to try, and at the bigger venues we do several
levels of beginners classes. There is nothing to be afraid of!
Intermediate Groups (Red
Bibs)
For those who have worked their way up from our novice groups or those joining
us who have a reasonable standard of fitness already. Intermediate classes
are either a great way to keep weight off OR a great way to step up to more
challenging classes, depending on the kind of person you are!
Advanced
Groups (Green Bibs)
Where the fittest members will be put through a very intensive session. Seperate
advanced classes are run at most of our venues. The sessions are highly rated
by the sports men and women that attend them who are looking to get pushed
beyond anything they have experienced before. A great way of cross training
for people who have no fear!
